All-on-Four

A full arch of fixed teeth supported by just four implants, a fast, comfortable solution for patients with no remaining teeth.

Treatment

Overview

If you have lost all your teeth and want something fixed rather than a removable denture, All-on-Four is a modern technique that gets you fixed teeth in a single operation. The procedure takes around one to one and a half hours per jaw.

If you already wear a denture, it goes in immediately after surgery; if not, temporary work prepared within two to three days from impressions taken beforehand is fitted. Once healing is complete, at around the third month, your permanent prosthesis is fitted.

How many implants are needed?

The traditional approach uses six to eight implants for a fully edentulous jaw. With the All-on-Four technique, four implants positioned at the right angles are enough. Placing those four at their particular angles matters a great deal: it distributes the load from the prosthesis evenly across the implants and protects the health of both tissue and implants.

That is why a prosthodontist and a maxillofacial surgeon must plan All-on-Four treatment together before it begins; at Impladent the whole process runs as a collaboration between those two specialities.

Why patients choose All-on-Four

  • Fixed temporary teeth the same day: you do not leave surgery without teeth.
  • Four implants are enough for a fully edentulous jaw, instead of six to eight.
  • Surgery on one jaw is completed in about one to one and a half hours.
  • Joint planning by surgeon and prosthodontist spreads the chewing load evenly across the implants.
